BVT-DLV venturi-style desuperheater
The BVT-DLV desuperheater is mostly used in industrial / municipal power and district heating applications, and within the process industry. It uses a static nozzle mounted in the direction of superheated steam, cooling it down using spray water. The simple design and lack of moving parts makes it very reliable and reduces the need for maintenance.
Spray water is controlled using an external spray water control valve. The venturi design causes an increase in steam velocity over the nozzle, improving the evaporation of the water droplets and reduces the risk of the water making contact with the downstream pipe walls.
Key features
- Accurate temperature control down to 8°C / 15°F above saturation temperature
- Efficient evaporation due to the venturi design
- Little maintenance / service requirements
- Small and compact
